Matthew Strazel scored 19 points in his best game with the AS Monaco jersey as his team beat Gravelines-Dunkerque 95 – 85 to extend its perfect French League record to 4-0.

Despite the absence of leading performer Mike James (rest), Monaco’s offense was impressive and Gravelines-Dunkerque had no answer against it. With ten minutes to go, Sasa Obradovic‘s players led 75 – 52 and the rest of the match was, more or less, standard procedure since the only thing the visiting side could do was trim that margin.

Monaco finished with 22 assists and 11-19 3-pointers, including 4-5 by Strazel. Yoan Makoundou (13 points, six rebounds), Donatas Motiejunas (13 points), and Elie Okobo (13 points) also scored in double figures while Jordan Loyd dished out six assists to go with his eight points.

JaJuan Johnson (18 points) and Romuald Morency (16 points) stood out from Gravelines-Dunkerque. On Saturday, defending champions ASVEL also got the win having a 2-2 record.
