In his second game back from the outstanding tour in the USA and first at home, Victor Wembanyama dominated as Metropolitans 92 made short work of Blois, 113-88, Friday night.

Wembanyama, 18, lasted 27 minutes in the one-sided affair of France’s Betclic Elite LNB Pro A Regular Season Round 6. He logged 17 points with 7/10 field goals, including 2/3 from beyond the arc, pulled down seven rebounds, dished out six assists, and blocked five shots. Besides the win, an additional reward is a game-high efficiency rating of 29.

Making the best of the recent visit to the United States and building up his chances to be selected with the first overall pick of the 2023 NBA draft, the hot prospect also became an even bigger attraction in his home country. Plenty of fans rushed to enjoy the team coached by Vincent Collet focusing on Wembanyama.

Hugo Besson, selected with the 58th pick of the 2022 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers and immediately traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, poured in a game-high 20 points in 19 minutes. Senegalese forward/center Ibrahima Fall Faye posted a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Packing up the fourth win in a row, it is now 4-1 in the French league for the team based in Levallois-Perret, in the Paris metropolitan area. Wembanyama and his teammates will be back in action next weekend taking on JL Bourg on the road.

The losing side was forced down to 4-2, after starting its first-ever season in the top-flight division of France with four wins in a row.
