Monaco now stands alone at the first place in the standings.

AS Monaco took its frustration from the EuroLeague loss to Olimpia Milano on Fos-sur-Mer in the French League. With five players scoring in double figures, the Monegasque side took a 97 – 53 blowout win on the road to complete 2022 on top of the French League standings.

Matthew Strazel led the offense of Monaco with 15 points plus seven assists. Yakuba Ouattara contributed 14 points, Mike James and Yoan Makoundou scored 13 apiece while Adrien Moerman finished with 10 points plus seven rebounds. Sasa Obradovic‘s players dominated from start to finish en route to registering their 12th win over 15 games this season in France.

Milan Barbitch stood out from the hosts with 13 points. His team is now 4-11 and at the bottom of the table.

Reigning champion ASVEL Villeurbanne improved to 9 – 6 by defeating Nanterre 88 – 73.
