Holding on down the stretch, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne overpowers SIG Strasbourg

Looking to move up the table of France’s Betclic Elite LNB Pro A, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne edged SIG Strasbourg, 78-72, to improve to 12-9 Sunday night.

Retin Obasohan poured 16 points, including the go-ahead bucket with 1:50 remaining in the Regular Season Round 22 battle. The Belgian guard additionally tallied five rebounds, four steals, and two rebounds in 24 minutes.

Nando De Colo shared the game-high with 16 points of his own. Joffrey Lauvergne (right knee) remained the lone player sidelined for the team coached by Morgan Belnou, replacing injured T.J. Parker for a second game in a row.
