Behind a huge boost from Mike James in the fourth quarter, AS Monaco jumps to 6-0 in France’s Betclic Elite

The defending champion of France’s Betclic Elite, AS Monaco remains undefeated following Round 6 of the 2023-24 Regular Season.

Mike James produced all of his ten points in the fourth quarter lifting his side to the win, 75-69, over Cholet in La Meilleraie on Sunday.

Petr Cornelie paired 18 points with eight rebounds and Donta Hall ended up with 16 points. Jordan Loyd, Jaron Blossomgame, and Kemba Walker were sidelined.

For the Basketball Champions League outfit, Gerry Blakes emerged as the main threat for the team coached by Sasa Obradovic. The Arizona State product finished with 23 points.

ASVEL bounces back

Snapping a three-game losing streak across all competitions, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne made short work of SLUC Nancy, punching in the win, 89-64, in Astroballe.

Frank Jackson piled up 20 points, behind 4/4 from beyond the arc. Paris Lee chipped in 11 points and eight assists, and Youssoupha Fall threw in 11 points and eight rebounds. Charles Kahudi and David Lighty did not suit up for the team coached by T.J. Parker.

Apart from improving to 5-1, JL Bourg signed E.J. Rowland to a short-term contract on Saturday. The BKT EuroCup outfit was in the market for an additional player following the injury of JeQuan Lewis
