Limited resistance to AS Monaco in Round 16 of France’s Betclic Elite.

Exciting prospect Matthew Strazel shined in the win, 116-73, versus Roanne in Salle Gaston Medecin on Sunday.

The 21-year-old point guard piled up 18 points in the first half and ended up with 23 points, a new career high at the senior level. He connected 7/11 field goals, including 4/7 three-pointers. Dishing out 11 assists shaped a double-double.

Five more double-digit scoring contributions for the team coached by Sasa Obradovic. Captain Yakuba Ouattara went for 16 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Jaron Blossomgame threw in 16 more points, including 4/4 triples from a team total of 18/26.

Jordan Loyd (back) was sidelined along with Kemba Walker and Donatas Motiejunas for the reigning champions in Betclic Elite. Mike James suited up but only played five minutes ahead of the next two-game week in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

Elsewhere in Round 16 of the Regular Season, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne secured a win, 79-72, versus Elan Chalon. Paris Lee had 13 points. Youssoupha Fall, Nando De Colo, and Joffrey Lauvergne finished with 12 points each.
