Fighting off Le Mans, AS Monaco retains a comfortable lead on top of the the Betclic Elite standings

The reigning Betclic Elite champion, AS Monaco, rallied past Le Mans.

Elie Okobo completing a go-ahead three-point play with 42.7 seconds remaining led to the win, 78-74, in Round 20 of the Regular Season and improved the team coached by Sasa Obradovic to 18-1 in France’s top-flight division on Sunday.

A team-high 15 points by Terry Tarpey was combined with six rebounds and two assists. Jaron Blossomgame chipped in 13 points. Okobo added 11 points. For the visitors in Salle Gaston Medecin, Trevor Hudgins drew up a game-high 19 points.

La Roca Team missed Jordan Loyd, John Brown III, Kemba Walker, and Matthew Strazel.

Earlier in Palais des Sports Marcel Cerdan, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne routed Metropolitans 92, 103-79. Mike Scott piled up 20 points behind 9/14 field goals and Youssoupha Fall posted a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double. Nando de Colo (calf) remained on the injury list and Charles Kahudi did not play.

For the hosts, Alen Omic combined 24 points and 13 rebounds.

In Palais des Sports de Beaublanc, Tyrus McGee dropped 23 points and SIG Strasbourg defeated Limoges CSP, 80-73.
