A third win in a row across all competitions for LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne after prevailing, 100-87, against Le Mans on Saturday.

Extending recent solid showings to Round 21 of France’s Betclic Elite Regular Season, Youssoupha Fall posted a 21-point, 13-rebound double-double. Virginia product Mike Scott threw in 14 points. David Lighty and Paris Lee had 13 points each, and Mbaye Ndiaye added ten more points. On the opposite end, Trevor Hudgins set a new individual best for the 2023-24 campaign with 25 points.

Besides Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Nando De Colo (calf) remaining unavailable for head coach Pierric Poupet, Joffrey Lauvergne sat out as well. However, a confident display in Antares improved the domestic record to 15-5, catching JL Bourg in second place. At 18-1, AS Monaco enjoys a lead by a margin of 3.5 games. MSB fell to 9-12.

Tied with ALBA Berlin at 5-18 at the bottom of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague table, ASVEL enters the next double-game week of the continental campaign. From welcoming Fenerbahce Beko in LDLC Arena on Tuesday to visiting Real Madrid in WiZink Center on Thursday set up the next challenges.

Tidjane Salaun shines for Cholet

The 18-year-old forward produced a team-high 20 points behind 8/14 field goals, including four triples. Resuming the Basketball Champions League campaign brings up another home game and the challenge of Unicaja on Wednesday. The team coached by Laurent Vila is looking for a 2-0 start in Group I of the Round of 16.

Rebounding from the loss to Cholet in Gameday 1 of the BCL Round of 16, SIG Strasbourg knocked down Paris, 89-86, in Rhenus Sport. Hugo Invernizzi tucked in six three-pointers in a season-high effort of 23 points. Back to the BCL, meeting Tofas in Bursa is up next on Wednesday.
