Despite being quite unstoppable lately in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, winning 11 out of the last 12 encounters, Monaco notched its second straight defeat in the French Betclic Elite.

After losing to Saint Quentin last weekend, Sasa Obradovic‘s side fell to Nancy 86-100 at their own Gaston Medecin hall, conceding triple-digit points for the first time this season.

Monaco couldn’t find a cure for Chris Clemons. The US guard attempted 14 three-pointers, hitting six, and finished the game with 27 points. He also dished out seven assists and six rebounds.

Clement Frisch with 19 points, Tyren Johnson with 18, and Caleb Walker with 11 points followed him in what is arguably Nancy’s biggest win of the season. They kept playoff ambitions alive, improving to 13-15.

Monaco’s defense struggled, but the offense wasn’t much better. John Brown was the top scorer with 15 points, Mike James added 12 on 4/14 shooting, and Jordan Loyd contributed 12 points as well. The defending champions fell to 24-4 but remained at the top of the standings.

ASVEL also scores in triple digits

Following Nancy’s lead, LDLC ASVEL also reaches the hundred-point mark, securing a 100-76 victory over Nanterre at LDLC Arena.

Edwin Jackson turned back the clock and led the winning side with 22 points and five assists, while Youssoupha Fall contributed 18 points and eight rebounds. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot scored 18 points, with Joffrey Lauvergne adding 10 to the tally.

For Nanterre, Lucas Dussoulier led the scoring with 13 points, with Joel Ayayi and Justin Bibbins adding 12 each. Lucas Fischer, Hamady N’Diaye, and Benjamin Sene also contributed 10 points apiece.
