Paris Basketball has reached the LNB semifinals. In a win-or-go-home game, Paris defeated Strasbourg (89-75) at home to advance to the next round.
Nadir Hifi was the star with 26 points. He was joined by Justin Robins with 13 points. For Strasbourg, the 25 points from Marcus Keene and Mike Davis Jr. weren’t enough to secure the away victory.
Paris dominated the first half (54-41) thanks to their accuracy from the three-point line and their high pace.
In a more evenly matched second half, the EuroLeague team withstood Strasbourg’s comeback attempt (89-75) to take a 2-1 lead in the series and advance to the semifinals. There they will await the winner between ASVEL and Cholet.
In a game that was close until the end, ASVEL tied in the final seconds (66-66) to send the last quarter-final game to overtime and try to save the situation in extra time.
And they didn’t. Cholet gets the surprising win on the road (75-80) to eliminate the Euroleague team from the playoffs contention. They will face Paris Basketball in semifinals.
