AS Monaco gets off to a good start in the semifinals. The EuroLeague team continues its good run in the NBL playoffs, comfortably defeating Nanterre (103-88) to take a 1-0 lead.
With seven professional players now on the roster, Matthew Strazel (23) and Jaron Blossomgame (23) were the top scorers. Youan Makoundou added 11 points and 6 rebounds.
Monaco had a rough start at home. The Euroleague team couldn’t increase the pace in the second quarter, and Nanterre led the way before the break (49-50).
A dominant final quarter (28-17) gave the home team the victory, as they played their best minutes of the playoffs at the most crucial moment. Monaco cruised past Nanterre in the first game of the semifinals (103-8) to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
