Despite the report about the possibility of playing in the Adriatic League, Monaco confirmed that the club will return to the third, semi-pro French division and reboot.
Per the press release: “A new chapter opens today in the history of AS Monaco Basket. At the heart of this new chapter remains what has always been the club’s strength: the Roca Family.
Our players, our staff, our supporters, our members, our volunteers, our partners, and more broadly, all those who have supported the Roca Team over the seasons, shared its emotions, celebrated its victories, and weathered its challenges, remain our top priority.
With the strong support of its new majority shareholder, the authorities of the Principality, its loyal fans, and its committed partners, AS Monaco Basket is resolutely looking to the future and embarking on the rebuilding of its sporting, economic, and social project on solid and sustainable foundations.
The youth academy will play a vital role in this reconstruction. Because preparing for the future also means passing on an identity, values, and high standards to the generations destined to wear Monaco’s colors tomorrow.
Starting this week, the club will submit its application for a place in the French National Men’s 1 (NM1) league. The objective is clear: to return.
To return through sport and on the court. To climb, with determination and humility, each step that separates us from the highest level. To reclaim our place at the top of French basketball and, ultimately, to relive the great European nights that have shaped the recent history of the Roca Team.
