Jones and Wilson led Nanterre in the crucial push during the second quarter which was just barely enough to secure the game in the end.

Nanterre 92 repeled the comeback effort from BCM Gravelines Dunkerque and recorded an 85-81 win on Day 32 of PRO A League. This victory helped Nanterre stay safer in the playoff zone with an 18-14 record while nothing changes for Gravelines in the middle of the table with 14-18.

Despite trailing in double-digit after thirty minutes (65-49), Gravelines didn’t give up. The guests controlled the game during the final quarter and decreased the margin to just one point (78-77) with a minute and a half left. Unfortunately for them, it wasn’t enough as Nanterre’s defense stopped their effort while Jamar Wilson and Kevin Jones were calm at the free throw line.

After tied first quarter (20-20) Nanterre increased the pace and led by Jones went on the halftime break with a double-digit advantage (48-36). The game kept on around that margin during the third period but the final ten minutes completely belonged to Gravelines. They came back nullifying the deficit but fell just a bit short in the end.

Jones scored a game-high 24 points for the victors in addition to 22 points from Wilson while Johan Passave-Ducteil helped by recording a double-double with 11 points and rebounds. On the other side, Chris Johnson’s 23 points weren’t enough to change the outcome.
