AS Monaco will fire head coach Saso Filipovski and hire Sasa Obradovic as replacement according to David Cozette of French network RMC Sport. Obradovic had been a free agent since parting ways with Lokomotiv Kuban earlier this season.

The reported decision of Monaco arrives shortly after the loss to Lietuvos Rytas in a do-or-die EuroCup game and the elimination from the competition’s quarterfinals. Monaco is also struggling in the French Pro A League since it’s at a five-way tie at the sixth spot with a 15 – 10 record.

If Obradovic will be acquired by Monaco then he will coach in France for the first time in his career. As a player, the 50-year-old Serb had a stint with Limoges early in his career.
