Monaco expanded its streak in France by handing ASVEL their second loss of the season.

Monaco defeated ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne with a 79-59 win at home to start 2020 on a good note in the French League, in the game that completed Round 17.

Norris Cole paved the way for Monaco with his 17-point performance, while Theo Maledon was the only player of ASVEL in double digits with 11 points.

The hosts enjoyed a 41-26 advantage at halftime and kept expanding their lead in the second half, en route to the victory.

Apart from the win, Monaco also overtook the top of the standings, though is still at a 15-2 tie with ASVEL. Dijon follows with a 14-3 record, while Levallois has a 12-5 record.
