Fenerbahce Beko coach Zeljko Obradovic didn’t want to go into the specifics of the Turkish League win of his team over Tofas Bursa due to the overall situation with the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, the Serbian coach congratulated the players of both sides for competing under tough circumstances.

“It’s very difficult to talk about basketball when everyone’s mind is on a different topic,” Obradovic said, per Fenerbahce. “This is the only comment I can make about the game. I congratulate the players. Both my own players and Tofas players. They played a very serious match. We will see what will happen in the coming days.”

As a basic precaution, there were no high-fives and handshakes before, during and after the game between the two teams. Just fistbumps.

The Turkish BSL is one of the three leagues in Europe that games haven’t been either suspended or canceled, together with the English BBL and the Russian SuperLeague. Several BSL players have spoken against the games being played.

Turkey has reported six coronavirus cases as of Sunday (15/3) afternoon.
