The Turkish League officially confirmed that the first half of its 2020-21 edition will be contested behind closed doors.

The 2019-20 BSL season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic in March. On May 11, the Turkish Basketball Federation, TBF, canceled the remainder of the campaign.

The coronavirus impact extends into the next season as well with the initial plan bringing back the Super Ligi teams but not the fans. Gameday 1 is scheduled to begin on October 3.

The first half of the 2020-21 season will feature every team facing each other once. Following the second half of the round-robin schedule, the top eight teams participate in the playoffs.
