Five players scored in double figures for Fenerbahce as the team routed Anadolu Efes 90 – 68 in the first Istanbul derby of the season between the two Turkish powerhouses.

Fener grabbed its first Turkish League victory over Efes since the 2019 Finals, with the latter having won in the previous seven domestic games. This streak was broken tonight.

Nando De Colo led the way for Fener‘s offense with baskets (13 points) and dimes (nine assists) while Devin Booker scored 15 points. Tarik Biberovic and Sehmus Hazer had 12 points apiece and Melih Mahmutoglu finished with 11 points for the hosts that controlled the game pretty much from start to finish.

Efes fell behind 47 – 31 at halftime and saw that margin getting increased to blowout proportions in the second half when Fener even went up 74 – 47. Rodrigue Beaubois scored a game-high 20 points and Erten Gazi had 14 points for Efes that was without Vasilije Micic.

This is the third defeat in a row for Efes that also counted two losses in the double-game EuroLeague week to remain winless in the competition.
