Fenerbahce couldn’t compete with Dacka after the break and suffered quite a loss at home.

Darussafaka Istanbul triumphed over Fenerbahce Beko 79 – 61 on the road, overthrowing them from the first spot of the Turkish BSL League standings and taking their place.

Five players scored in double figures in a very well-balanced offensive performance by Dacka. Troy Caupain led the charge overall with 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds, Isaiah Pineiro, Wayne Mccullough and Nathan Boothe scored 12 apiece while Gabe Olaseni posted 11 points plus six rebounds.

Dyshawn Pierre (19 points, nine assists, five rebounds) and Achille Polonara (12 points, six rebounds) were the top performers from a Fener squad that is without injured stars Nando De Colo and Jan Vesely.

While control of the first half was shared by both Dacka in the first period and Fener in the next ten minutes, for a 38 – 39 score at the break, the second half was dominated by the visiting side. Selcuk Ernak’s players overpowered their opponents 10 – 25 in the third quarter to establish a double-digit advantage and then retained it to get a sound win.
