Galatasaray Nef’s six-game winning streak across all competitions snapped by Darussafaka

Storming back from a 25-point deficit in the second half, Darussafaka scored the win, 83-82, against Galatasaray Nef Saturday.

Troy Caupain completing a three-point play with 14 seconds remaining placed the hosts in the lead for the first time after the first quarter of the BSL Regular Season Round 17 fixture. The Cincinnati product was limited to one point throughout the contest prior to the game-winning effort.

Isaiah Pineiro contributed 21 points. On the opposite end, Melo Trimble recorded a game-high 24 points and DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell had 21 points. The team coached by Ekrem Memnun was coming off five wins in a row in the Turkish league and six across all competitions, including the Basketball Champions League.

The Lions advanced directly to BCL Round of 16 dropped to 11-6 at the domestic level. Dacka, currently trailing Hereda San Pablo Burgos, 1-0, in the Champions League Play-In best-of-three series, improved to 13-4. Based on the win-loss points system, the 30 points shape a Super Ligi high.

Fenerbahce Beko carrying a 13-2 record has 28 points. Anadolu Efes at 11-3 has 25 points. Both Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participants are part of the BSL schedule tomorrow, Sunday. Fener is set to visit Aliaga Petkim Spor (16:00 CET) and Efes to host Besiktas Icrypex (18:15 CET).

Earlier, Bahcesehir Koleji earned the win, 104-99, versus Pinar Karsiyaka in overtime. Jamal Jones scoring 19 points behind 7/8 field goals led the way for the winning side jumping to 9-7. Amath M’Baye and Bonzie Colson combined for 46 points did not prevent the drop to 11-6 for the team coached by Ufuk Sarica.

Elsewhere, Tofas went up to 10-7 after edging Buyukcekmece, 89-87. Birthday boy Elgin Cook poured a game-high 26 points.
