Fenerbahce Beko was particularly strong in the second half and defeated Anadolu Efes 85 – 76 at home in Game 1 of the Turkish BSL League Finals.

The triplet of Jan Vesely (17 points, seven rebounds), Nando De Colo (13 points, seven assists) and Devin Booker (11 points) led a Fenerbahce squad that was quite effective with 25-34 shooting on 2-pointers. After balanced first half (37 – 37) Sasha Djordjevic’s players proceed to build and retain a steady advantage, never allowing Efes to come at a shooting distance at any moment during the last 15 minutes.

Rodrigue Beaubois (20 points) and Elijah Bryant (13 points) were the only Efes players in double figures. The back-to-back EuroLeague champions, who were without injured (ankle) superstar guard Vasilije Micic, fell behind in the mid of the third period and often trailed by double-digit numbers, never being able to catch up and become a threat to their hosts.

Fener hosts also Game 2 of the best-of-five series Thursday (9/6).
