Fourth straight loss for Fenerbahce, who couldn’t cash in a brilliant performance from Marko Guduric

Troubled with a series of injuries, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul suffered its fourth straight loss, this time against Merkezefendi in BLS – 80-77.

Fenerbahce lost despite one of the best career performances from Marko Guduric, who scored 35 points with ten rebounds for a PIR of 36.

The problem was that only Carsen Edwards managed to follow him with 15 points.

Nikos Rogkavopoulos led the winning side with 25 points and nine rebounds for a PIR of 32.

Former Fenerbahce player Johnathan Hamilton added 15 points, with one rebound short of a double-double, while Max Heidegger scored 18.

Dimitris Itoudis’ team lost the first period with a 24-16 score, but the second one turned into a complete nightmare. They scored nine points, and Merkezefendi went to the break with an 18-point advantage.

That proved too big of a deficit for Fenerbahce, who managed to cut it to just one point in the end but couldn’t turn the score in their favor in the dying moments. The hosts survived their late push and got themselves a big win.

Without Vasilije Micic, Shane Larkin, and Rodrigue Beaubois, Anadolu Efes returned to winning ways after two straight defeats in the Euroleague and defeated Tofas at Sinan Erdem Dome 84-76.

Elijah Bryant took off and scored 30 points for the winning team. Tibor Pleiss followed with a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Bugrahan Tuncer added 10 points.

Arturas Milaknis and Mustafa Kudruldum stood out for the team from Bursa with 13 points each.
