While dealing with a difficult situation in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Anadolu Efes confidently bounced back to the win column by making short work of Ayos Konyaspor, 99-83, Saturday.

The team coached by Ergin Ataman will play host to EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Virtus Segafredo Bologna Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. Both games versus Italian clubs are must-win for the back-to-back EuroLeague champions to retain any hope of salvaging a Playoffs berth down the stretch of the Regular Season.

Snapping a three-game losing streak between domestic and continental competitions, Efes gained a double-digit lead in the second quarter and did not look back for the remainder of Turkey’s BSL Regular Season Round 22 contest in Selcuklu Belediyesi Spor Salonu. The first-half enforcer with 17 points, Shane Larkin ended up with 19 points in just under 17 minutes. Amath M’Baye logged 13 of his team-high 23 points in the fourth quarter keeping the Istanbul outfit in a safe distance.

Following a seven-game losing streak and sinking to the bottom of the standings, the team based in Konya appointed Can Sevim as the new head coach on a two-year contract earlier this week. In his debut, the third play-caller of the season saw his side fall to 6-16. Rasheed Sulaimon stood out with 28 points.

Opening Round 22 in Muradiye Spor Salonu, John Roberson set a new individual high for the 2022-23 season with 32 points for Manisa in the win, 90-75, against Yukatel Merkezefendi. The former Texas Tech standout connected 7/9 three-pointers in a total of 10/14 from the field.
