An 11-0 sprint restored the lead for Anadolu Efes en route to a 91-86 victory versus Reeder Samsunspor.

Narrowly escaping out of the Round 21 challenge, the Istanbul outfit improved to 18-3 in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Regular Season.

Taking over down the stretch in Sinan Erdem Dome, Darius Thompson recorded a team-high 17 points to go with four rebounds and four assists. Erkan Yilmaz produced a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double. Justus Hollatz chipped in 14 points, matching his individual best across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign, plus five assists and five rebounds.

The list of unavailable players for the defending BSL champions went across Shane Larkin, Rodrigue Beaubois, Elijah Bryant, Erten Gazi, Will Clyburn, Dogus Ozdemiroglu, Tibor Pleiss, and Daniel Oturu.

Samsunspor’s captain Sek Henry dropped a season-high 33 points but fell shy of launching a late run to avoid relegation with a triumph on the road. The 34-year-old combo guard connecting seven triples was the major highlight in a team total of 11/19.

Fenerbahce dominates Tofas, with 16-Year-Old Ziyaettin debuting

Sertac Sanli led the winning side with 24 points, while Yam Madar recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 assists. Georgios Papagiannis followed with 17 points, while Nigel Hayes Davis added 11. Three more players ended up in double digits: Sehmus Hazer, Melih Mahmutoglu, and Nate Sestina.

It’s also worth noting that talented 16-year-old Omer Ziyaettin made his debut with the senior Fenerbahce team, scoring six points in 10 minutes of play.

For Tofas, Caleb Homesley had 24 points, Austin Wiley followed with a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Tolga Gecim added 11 points.
