Three days after grabbing a crucial EuroLeague road win over Fenerbahce Beko, Anadolu Efes got the same result and in the same arena. Just in a different competition.
Behind 22 points and five assists by Shane Larkin, Efes beat Fener 90 – 80 and improved to 23 – 3 over their opponents’ 21 – 4 to all but clinch first place in the Turkish BSL League regular season.
Ercan Osmani had 20 points and six rebounds for Efes while scoring a key floater that put his team up 80 – 88 with 50 seconds remaining to more or less secure the win for his team. Daniel Oturu contributed 17 points plus five rebounds and Rodrigue Beaubois delivered 15 points.
Tarik Biberovic led Fener with 19 points and six rebounds. Scottie Wilbekin dropped 18 points and Nigel Hayes-Davis scored 10.
