Larkin, Oturu, lead Efes past Turk Telekom

Efes was taking no prisoners in the Turkish League playoffs opener.

Anadolu Efes‘s road towards defending the Turkish BSL title began with a 99 – 79 over Turk Telekom in Game 1 of the playoffs.

Shane Larkin delivered 21 points while Daniel Oturu posted 20 points and seven rebounds, combining for an unstoppable du that made lots of damage to Turk Telekom’s defense. Derek Willis contributed 17 points plus seven rebounds and Rodrigue Beaubois dropped 17 points.

Steven Enoch had 19 points plus si rebounds for Turk Telekom. James Palmer produced 19 points plus five assists and Okben Ulubay scored 18. Their team hosts Game 2 Saturday (17/5).

In the other playoff game held Wednesday, Galatasaray beat Pinar Karsiyaka 96 – 95 in overtime thanks to a pair of free throws by David McCormack with five seconds remaining in overtime.

McCormack finished with 16 points plus six rebounds while Dee Bost led Galatasaray flirted with the triple-double (21 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists) to lead Galatasaray.

Errick McCollum also put on a performance close to the triple-double with 23 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists for Pinar Karsiyaka. Kelan Martin scored 18.
