Fenerbahçe secures a comfortable away victory in the Turkish league. Jasikevicius’s side—fresh off a dominant performance against Baskonia in the EuroLeague—defeated Bursaspor (59–78) in a game that was effectively decided by halftime.
Onuralp Bitim was the top scorer for the Istanbul side with 19 points. He was joined by Shane Larkin—who is becoming increasingly comfortable within Jasikevicius’s system—with 9 points. New arrival Dwight Powell recorded 5 points and 6 rebounds.
For the visiting team, Michael Moore recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap against a far superior Fenerbahçe side.
With this victory (5-2), they close the gap on Türk Telekom, who remain the leaders of the BSL (6-1). The leaders previously defeated Manisa and are maintaining their spectacular level of performance in the domestic competition.
