Dusan Ivkovic is no longer the coach of Anadolu Efes, as the club officially announced. After the defeat by Fenerbahce in the Turkish Basketball Super League derby, the Serbian coach was shown the exit door of the team.
Ivkovic talked about his sacking from the team in his post – game interview. “During the season so far, the president of the club has been saying to me ‘coach, congratulations. You lost against a team that has a lower budget than us’. I tried everything but in order to understand this situations, the president needs at least 10 years.” said Ivkovic.
He then added that “Mr. president, everyone can criticize me but you crossed the line with your behavior”.
Assistant Ahmet Caki, will be the head coach of Anadolu Efes for the remainder of the season.
