Gaziantep has completed the application process in order to be part of the BSL next season, however after all the team will not be able to compete in the top Turkish division.
The sponsor of the club, Royan Hali, decided to withdraw from the deal, Gaziantep is having financial issues and it’s only a matter of time in order for them to announce their inability to be part of the Tukish basketball Superlague. It’s a sad end of an era for a team that entered the playoffs last season, after being founded just in 2007 and promoted in the top division for the first time in 2012.
Acibadem is the club which is expected to replace Gaziantep in the BSL.
