Fenerbahce beat Banvit in Bandirma for the first time since 2010 with a 86 – 75 road victory to remain the sole holder of the top in the Turkish league standings, improving its record to 23-2.

Bogdan Bogdanovic flirted with the double-double after scoring 19 points and dishing out 9 assists; both team highs. Ekpe Udoh dropped 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds and Gigi Datome had 14 points plus 4 boards.

An outstanding Gediminas Orelik (29 points) or Gasper Vidmar’s efforts (14 points, 7 rebounds) weren’t enough for Banvit that lacked the precious points of Jordan Theodore (7 with 1/8 from the field, plus 4 assists).

Saso Filipoviski’s team stands fourth at the table with a 17 – 8 record but it may drop to fifth place if Darussafaka Dogus defeats Yesilgiresun at home.
