With what eventually turned into a close  79 – 83 game, Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul defeated Sakarya BB and improved its record to 26-3.

Sakarya outscored Fener 29-16 in the final ten minutes of the game, and in the final minute the hosts made it a one-possession game (78-80) but could not complete the comeback as James Nunnally converted at the free-throw line.

The first thirty minutes, however, had a different story and feel to it. Since the first twenty minutes of the contest, Fener had a nine-point lead (42-51), but with Thompson and Wannamaker scoring, this lead even grew to 15+ points (50-67) in the third quarter.

Jason Thompson led the way for Fenerbahce with his 17 points, while Alli Muhammed added 14 points. Gian Lopez put up 20 (5/6 3FG) points for the hosts.

This win marked the 13th consecutive victory in the BSL for Obradovic‘s team.
