Gigi Datome scored 20 points with 7/8 shots as Fenerbahce won Game 2 of the Turkish League quarterfinals against Sakarya 77 – 54 on the road and swept the best-of-three series and advanced to the semifinals.

The defending champions will face the winner of the Banvit – Besiktas pairing.

Bobby Dixon was the only other player of the winning squad in double-digits after finishing the game with 11 points. Fener heavily relied on defense to get the win, forcing Sakarya to 28 points in the first half and preserving the same intensity in the third period to reach the final stretch with a 56 – 42 advantage. Their lead even went up to 28, 48 – 76 with 3:40 minutes remaining.

Lucky Jones and Can Korkmaz were the only players that stood out for Sakarya with 11 and 10 points respectively. Despite the elimination, Selcuk Ernak’s team can pride on completing a successful season since they made it to the BSL playoffs for the first time in the history of the franchise.
