Trabzonspor has withdrawn its participation to the 2018-2019 Turkish BSL League, according to Hurriyet’s Fatih Sabovic.

So far there hasn’t been an official announcement by the club, but if the news is confirmed then Trabzonspor will become the second team to willfully withdraw from BSL due to financial problems, after Eskisehir. Usak Sportif and Yesilgiresun have also withdrawn from TBL, Turkey’s Second Division.

Currently, Trabzonspor doesn’t have any players on its roster and can’t make any new signing since FIBA has imposed a transfer ban to the club. There are currently 12 open cases against Trabzonspor, per FIBA.

Three years ago, Trabzonspor had reached the Eurochallenge Final plus the BSL semifinals. Last season they finished 13th among 16 teams.
