A domestic clash of two Turkish EuroCup teams went in favor of Tofas 97-82 thanks to the combined forces of Samuel Mejia and Kyle Weems despite a firey Zach Auguste on Galatasaray‘s side.
Mejia put on an all-around performance with 25 points, seven assists and six rebounds while Weems, who missed just one shot being 8/9 from the field, was right behind with 20 points. On the other side, Auguste notched game-high 28 points but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
It was a fairly balanced game but full of ups and downs. The teams went on the halftime rest with a tied score at 48 and although Galatasaray started the second half with a 10-0 run, Tofas didn’t let go. They came back and with a strong fourth quarter ‘turned the tide’ in their favor.
Tofas improved to a 3-1 record while Galatasaray still awaits for their first win in Turkish League.
