Darussafaka Tekfen center Micheal Eric was sanctioned with a fine of 87,000 Turkish liras (around 15,000 dollars) and a five-game suspension in BSL for “physical action that reached an assault level,” the Turkish Federation announced.

During the BSL game between Darussafaka and Turk Telekom, Eric aggressively pushed the ball on Ender Arslan’s chest and then made a headbutt move against forward Metin Turen after the latter intervened and pushed the Dacka big guy.

Eric has averaged 12.8 points and 5.6 rebounds in 12 games of the Turkish BSL League so far this season.
