Jordan Morgan was the hero leading Banvit to the 78-70 road victory against Fenerbahce Beko in BSL Regular Season action. Saturday’s result allows Anadolu Efes to go over its EuroLeague Final Four Semifinal opponent and solely occupy first place of the Turkish League standings provided Ergin Ataman’s side wins its two games in hand.

Morgan, 27, dropped 23 points including a clutch bucket down the stretch, grabbed 14 rebounds as well en route for his double-double and 32 PIR showing. D.J. Shelton added 18 points and Alex Perez 16 for streaking Banvit that improved its Super Ligi W-L tally to 14-13.

A 13-2 second quarter spurt built a double-digit advantage for Fener. However, the visitors quickly regained their lead behind their 21-9 third quarter showing and held on the rest of the way.

Nicolo Melli scored 11 points in the first half and finished with a team-high 18, but wasn’t enough. Kostas Sloukas late surge got him to 13 points, but Zeljko Obradovic’s team fell to 22-4.

Tyler Ennis, Nikola Kalinic, Jan Vesely, Luigi Datome and Joffrey Lauvergne were all out.
