Fenerbahce Beko forward/center Joffrey Lauvergne played his first official game after eight months, following his recovery from an ankle injury. The French player was actually a starter in the Turkish BSL League game of his team against Bahcesehir.

Lauvergne participated in a couple of preseason matches for Fener but his last official game was the 2019 Turkish Cup semifinal against Turk Telekom on 16/2. It was then that he sustained the injury that kept him out for such a long period.

Following the EuroLeague Round 2 loss to Crvena Zvezda, Fenerbahce coach Zeljko Obradovic had said that there is no definite answer regarding Lauvergne’s return to action and that the club and the player are “trying everything” for his comeback. A week later, Lauvergne stepped on the floor once again for the team.
