The new EuroLeague Fantasy is… fantastic, brand new and with some special features to watch out for to enjoy your favourite game!

Forget all that you’ve known so far. The EuroLeague Fantasy has changed and has introduced many new features!

You have a budget of 300M to build your winning team every matchday. You can select a captain who will score double points. The points of the players are obtained through the official statistics of the Euroleague. The team must have 5 starters, and you can put one of them as a captain who will score double points. In addition, there will be 4 reserves who will score 50% of their total score and a sixth man, from whom you will receive 75% of his score.

THE TOP CHOICES

Seasoned fantasy players will know that there are incredible Fantasy players that come at a cost. For sure, it’s best advised to have at least one top-notch player on your roster, so that you can name him as your captain and earn a double score in credits!

Eurohoops’ suggestion for this week is AS Monaco point guard Mike James! It might sound weird, but yes, Mike James will play for the EuroLeague newcomers this season and the tip-off will be against his former team, Panathinaikos.

James is expected to produce a lot this season. Not necessarily only against Panathinaikos, but throughout the season. He is worth 71M, a “salty” choice, though we expect that he is worth it.

Out of the Top 10 of the most expensive players, we would avoid Nick Calathes, Alexey Shved and Tornike Shengelia this week. Of course, that is only our suggestion, though we do believe that the two CSKA players will share their points in the game and maybe they will rank high in the game. Calathes is not in his full form at the moment, and we deem you can skip investing 64M on him for now.

THE MEDIUM-LOW TIER CHOICES

For the medium tier, we start with two Olympiacos players – Sasa Vezenkov and Tyler Dorsey. Vezenkov is worth 47M, while you can acquire Dorsey for 38M. Both cost a little bit more than our suggested average price, but both have shown that they can take the spotlight, so their price might go way up during the season, so they are worth considering now.

Olympiacos hosts Baskonia for the new season opener and we do believe the Reds can grab the win and that Dorsey can be among the protagonists.

In the same category, we also choose Mario Hezonja, who is worth 49M. So far, he has shown he could have a great season with UNICS, and yet again, we believe now it’s the right time to pick him. We are not sure how the incorporation of O.J. Mayo will affect UNICS’s current rotation and whether that will take away from Hezonja’s explosiveness, but for the moment we trust him.

Donatas Motiejunas is also another favorite with 37M, joined also by Zenit’s Jordan Loyd. His prize his higher but with Shabazz Napier sidelined due to injury, Loyd is expected to take on more responsibility in scoring and creating.

Now, let’s move on to a budget choice, that of Yovel Zoosman. Zoosman moved to ALBA Berlin this offseason and his fantasy price is currently at 21M. Even though the Germans play against Barcelona on the road for the season opener, we suggest his addition to your roster, as it seems that he will have a strong role on ALBA’s rotation.
