With the change of the EuroLeague format in recent years, absences and injuries are expected for all teams at some point. But not in Chris Singleton’s case.

The Anadolu Efes big man is after a unique record in the EuroLeague, chasing only Greek NT legend and current GM Nikos Zisis, for the most consecutive appearances in the competition.

Zisis counted 209 back-to-back games throughout his illustrious career in EuroLeague, with his last appearance tracing back to the 2017-18 season with Brose Bamberg.

Now, Singleton sets sights to break this rare record with Anadolu Efes, as he will appear for his 208th consecutive game against his former team, Panathinaikos, for Round 6 and by the end of this week, he will have tied Zisis for the top spot.

With that being said, next week’s showdown against Zenit St. Petersburg in Istanbul is expected to be his 210th back-to-back game, when he will stand alone on top of the list. All of that, in the course of six years and 20 days.
