Diving into Fantasy options ahead of Round 14 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season, Greek tactician Giannis Sfairopoulos signals a massive handout of Fantasy points.
Considering the direct impact of the selected head coach on earnings in each Round, Sfairopoulos is our main bet for this week.
Most head coaches are relatively affordable, far from a burden on the budget, and can generate a bunch of points or instead deliver a huge blow to the sum. That is the risk.
Expecting Gianmarco Pozzecco to lead LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne to a win last week, we handed him a spot in our Fantasy squad. His side instead fell to Valencia and cost us 20 points! That loss countered successful tips regarding Shane Larkin, the MVP of Round 13, and Markus Howard.
Switching to Sfairopoulos, we added another low-cost option with the prospect of getting many Fantasy points. Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet hosting ALBA Berlin makes a win probable for the Greek play-caller in Round 14. He is priced at 6.1 units and a potentially recording a margin larger than ten points would put in plenty of points to our total.
The Juancho Hernangomez dilemma
On the players, we must be careful with Juancho Hernangomez. The superstar of Panathinaikos Aktor is returning to action but probably with limited playing time under the guidance of head coach Ergin Ataman. He is expected to reintegrate slowly until reaching his playing minutes before being forced to the injury list.
Marius Grigonis is also recovering from an injury. Konstantinos Mitoglou has carried his side with extensive playing time but seems to be slowing down in recent outings. Hernangomez is currently tagged at 11.8 units and can be a successful addition in the long term. But for now, we are retaining Mitoglou on our squad.
