Kalev – Player Profile

This season Scott Machado is playing for Kalev Tallinn (VTB League). When he was asked to describe his game he gave the example of legend John Stockton! This proves a lot about the correct mentality of a pure PG like him. As a player who has as purpose to get everybody on the team involved, Scott Machado bases his whole career on 3 main attributes. Passing ability – court vision – driving skills.

Most of his points are coming from drives while he can easily set PnR plays, split the ball out, quickly escape from double teams and find the unmarked player when needed. Strong body with high basketball IQ is definitely a good combination and he has it.

A negative point of Machado game is the high number of turnovers. It had always been an issue for him. In addition, Scott Machado is not a good long range shooter. This is the main reason why he chooses to attack most of the times in the paint.
