MHP Riesen’s big man Owen Klassen registered 18 rebounds vs. Anwil this past week, setting a new all-time high in the history of Basketball Champions League.

The current list of individual rebounding bests also includes Hollon’s Darion Atkins (16), Neptunas’ Jerai Grant (16), Fribourg’s Babacar Toure (16), and Banvit’s Devin Oliver (15), who all set their best performances in this season.

The numbers become significant if we take into consideration that in the previous two seasons, no player finished a game with more than 14 rebounds, setting the mood for a bigs’ “revolution” in the competition.

It only remains to be seen if anyone can top this all-time best performance while the current season is still on. Everything’s possible!
