A more than interesting “trade” was made in Germany, as Bayern Munich announced the signing of Danilo Barthel with a deal until the summer of 2018, while Daniel Mayr left Munich for Frankfurt, Barhel’s old team.
Barthel (2.08 meters, 24 years old) averaged 9.6 points on 68.3% two-point shooting and 4.1 rebounds in 32 German League games last season. He helped Frankfurt win the FIBA Europe Cup title and now he will make his Eurocup preview.
Mayr (2,17 m., 21) went the opposite root, leaving Bayern Munich and signing with Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt, where he will also play in the FIBA Champions League.
