Nizhny Novgorod signed a one-year deal with Estonian forward Siim-Sander Vene (203 cm, 95 kg, 25 y.o.). He has been a part of Zalgiris Kaunas for ten years and this summer parted ways with the club. Last season he took part in 20 games in Euroleague averaging 3,3 points, 1,1 rebounds and 0,7 assists.
Vene was a member of the Estonian under-18 team that competed at the 2007 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship and finished the tournament in 12th place. He averaged 12.1 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist per game. As a member of the senior Estonian national basketball team, Vene competed at the EuroBasket 2015, averaging 10 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. Estonia finished the tournament in 20th place.
