For the first time its history, the VTB All-Star Game decided to introduce a Legend Card – for legendary players, who, thanks to their professionalism and leadership qualities, have become role models on and off the court, as the league informs.
Khimki’s Sergei Monia will be invited to the Russian Stars, while Kyle Hines will make it to World Stars in the 2020 VTB All-Star Game.
“The All-Star Game is not only a show, but also a great opportunity for the League to honor basketball players who have already become legends for everyone, but at the same time continue to play at the highest level”, said League Director-General Ilona Korstin.
“This year we are introducing special Legend cards. Sergei Monia and Kyle Hines – two captains of their clubs – won the League championship, played two more than 400 matches in the history of the league and, thanks to their achievements and professional attitude, are a real example for young players. They deserve to be part of the All-Star Game”.
