Errick McCollum and Jordan Theodore gave UNICS a road win over Nizhny Novogrod while Zielona Gora prevailed over Tsmoki-Minsk

UNICS Kazan had everything under control in the 95-83 road win against Nizhny Novgorod in the VTB United League.

Errick McCollum and Jordan Theodore led the winning effort with 23 and 21 points respectively. Jamar Smith scored 14 points while Alex Tyus flirted with a double-double by logging ten points and nine boards.

For Nizhny, Evgenii Baburin scored 17 in addition to Pavel Antipov’s 15 and Terell Parks’ 12 points. Michael Jenkins and Brandon Brown added ten points each.

UNICS logged its 12th (12-6) win this season and stands at the third spot while Nizhny got slowed down in the crowded playoff race and is currently at the tenth spot (7-11) in the standings.

Meanwhile, Zielona Gora improved to 8-11 with an 80-73 road win over Tsmoki-Minsk which stayed at the bottom with a 4-15 record.

Tony Meier scored 21 for the victors while George King logged 12 points and 11 boards. For Tsmoki, Andrei Stabrousk scored 20 and Robert Lowery 14 points.
