A late 11-0 run made all the difference for CSKA Moscow at the Basket Hall Krasnodar.

CSKA Moscow defeated Lokomotiv Kuban, 77-71, in a tightly contested VTB United League affair on Monday at the sold-out Basket Hall Krasnodar.

Mike James paced CSKA with a team-high 16 points. Joel Bolomboy mixed in 12 points and seven rebounds. Kyle Hines made several clutch buckets en route for his 11 points. Daniel Hackett ended up with 11 points as well.

The visitors fell in an early double-digit hole but steadily recovered to reclaim the lead during the third period. An 11-0 sprint entering the final stretch ultimately resulted in the “W”.

Mantas Kalnietis and Will Cummings shared a game-high 17 points in losing effort. The other double-digit scorer, Mindaugas Kuzminskas added 11 points.

Dimitris Itoudis’ team jumped to 15-4 in VTB dropping the hosts to 13-6.
