Parma shocked CSKA Moscow with a late comeback.

Week 2 of the VTB United League is underway and Parma came in with a shocking victory at the final buzzer against CSKA Moscow.

CSKA Moscow – Parma 95-97

Parma outran the Army Team 36-14 in the fourth period to seal the victory at the start of Week 2 thanks to Maxim Grigoryev’s buzzer-beating three. Boris Savovic paced the winners with 18 points who came back from a 22-point deficit.

On the other end of the court, Mike James finished the game with a stunning 31-point performance for CSKA, Will Clyburn posted 19 points and Nikola Milutinov had 13 points, five rebounds.

Lokomotiv Kuban – Zielona Gora 83-76

Alan Williams with 20 points led six scorers in double-digits as Loko started their season with a win. Will Cummings had 12 points and Mindaugas Kuzminskas 11 points and 10 rebounds. For the losing side, Janis Berzins scored 18 points and Iffe Lundberg had 15.

Zenit St. Petersburg – Kalev Tallinn 91 – 83 

Austin Hollins scored 27 on 9-13 3-pointers as Zenit defeated Kalev to capture its third straight win. Mateusz Ponitka added 13 points and Alex Poythress 12 points and nine rebounds for the winning side.

Marcus Keene led Kalev with 24 points and eight assists.

Enisey – Khimki Moscow 77 – 92 

Jordan Mickey scored 24 points and grabbed five rebounds as Khimki Moscow captured the first win of the season by beating Enisey on the road. Dairis Bertans added 12 points and five assists, Janis Timma had 12 points and five rebounds to help push Khimki to victory which was missing once more Stefan Jovic and Alexey Shved.

Mikhail Kulagin (22 points, five assists), Timofey Yakushin (18 points) and Dustin Hogue (13 points, 10 rebounds) were Enisey’s top performers.
