CSKA Moscow bounces back after a rare stretch of losses

Four losses in a row proved enough for CSKA Moscow with the away win, 91-80, over Enisey Krasnoyarsk, Wednesday.

Joel Bolomboy topped the scoring table with 21 points. Darrun Hilliard threw in 20 more points in the VTB United League encounter. Daniel Hackett added 17 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

The team coached by Dimitris Itoudis going through a tough stretch was held to defeat in six out of the eight last Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and VTB matches.

Leyton Hammonds landed a team-high 20 points for the team based at Krasnoyarsk, Siberia.

CSKA improved its VTB record to 11-4 and dropped the hosts to 4-11.

Jamar Smith hits game-winner

UNICS Kazan defeated Zenit Saint-Petersburg, 59-58, in the other Wednesday game.

Jamar Smith created his opportunity and sealed it for the hosts in the dying seconds of the hard-fought battle. Jordan Morgan posted an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double.

Mateusz Ponitka got 17 points and Arturas Gudaitis 15 for the visitors.

UNICS went up 13-4 forcing the VTB leaders to 14-2.
