CSKA Moscow Dimitris Itoudis didn’t give a clear answer regarding what happened with his star guard Mike James in the VTB League game against Unics Kazan that kept the player out for most of the match.

James was substituted three minutes into the game during a timeout and – following an exchange of words with Itoudis at the bench – never returned to court.

“You know me,” Itoudis said after CSKA‘s win when he was asked what he can say about James and he didn’t play after he got subbed. “I’m here seven years. And I’m highly professional. I know what I represent. I know what CSKA means. From the first letter to the last letter. The history of almost 100 years. And I have a full respect towards the game. In VTB games, I have to choose who are the six foreign players that are going to be dressed. So I did everything I had to do to have the best”

“Now, to get into details. I don’t believe it’s needed. Right now. You know me. Most probably, eh? You know what I represent. What are my principles. My ethics. And my work attitude,” Itoudis concluded.

Itoudis also said that swingman Darrun Hilliard will be practicing again after missing the last two EuroLeague games vs. Real Madrid and Crvena Zvezda due to injury.
